Camping Axe Hatchet

Does anyone use something other than a knife, hatchet, or shovel? Its ok to put it down if that's it.
I'm actually looking for a new tool to take with me. It needs a sharp edge of some kind, the ability to dig, and anything else is a bonus. I like the shovel for the plausible digging capabilities and since it can have a sharp edge, but its not the best for Central Texas, hill country dirt, which is why I favor a pick ax, the problem there is I can't find one that weighs under 10lbs, which is my limit. If anyone has any suggestions along with their response, they would be appreciated.
I think you should check out the shovel made by Glock. Yes the same company that produces handguns. They make a nice,lightweight,compact and strong shovel. Check out their knife too.
