hi there iam a 16 year old girl and our youth group is going camping for the week in northern scotland, and i dont have a clue what to wear, as it will be frezzing cold 24/7 all the time, i would imagine i will need tonnes of layers but i dont really know exactly, i dont have money to buy expensive outdoor clothing,so the clothes will have to be my own

Long sleeve shirts under hoodies under coats, jeans, and a pair of tennis shoes (probably a second pair in your bags just in case). Don't try to be stylish when camping, because you never know if the clothes will get ruined. To save a little space wear your jeans two days in a row (rotate if you feel weird about that). So you'll only need four pairs instead of seven or eight. Sweat pants are good for night time too, but jeans are more durable for the day.
