Camping Soap
October 18th, 2009 at 20:18How do you RINSE dishes while camping?
Only today did I realise that biodegradable soap should not be directly introduced into the immediate water supply, and should be disposed of at least 200 feet from a water source. Thank you guys, for bringing that to my attention.
I have 2 follow-up questions regarding this;
1: I understand now to simply boil any pots and pans which I have washed and be comfortable using the water in the pots and pans for cooking, but how do you boil plates and cutlery which I have rinsed in lake water? Do I simply pour out boiling water on the plates and cutlery before each new meal?
2: Will post this question under seperate thread, but if this is the only question you catch....When I am in the bush for more than a day, I like to stay clean and have always washed in bio soap and rinsed in lake water. Now that I understand why this is environmentally harmful, how do I use bio- soap and bathe? Is it as simple as bringing lakewater 200 feet and rinsing? Now that I ask, it seems pretty obvious.
i better win best answer or i swear ill report you for abuse. this is hands down the absolute best way to clean dishes while camping.
first you cup your hand to the side of your mouth real tight.
then as you lean back, take in a deep breath.
finally with everything you got at the top of your lungs you scream " honey ! ''
if that dosent work your dishwasher is broken and you need a new one.
