Christmas stocking for middle aged bachelor who has everything?
My father in law is a 50+ year old man who has so much STUFF that there are merely walkways through his home.
He has at least 100 of everything you could possibly imagine buying for a middle age man.
What can I get him? I'd like to make him a stocking, but what to put in it???
Here are some things I can tell you about him:
* He's an artist, and uses paints, canvases, wood, wood burning, and other mediums.
* He's a hobby photographer... He takes tons of pictures constantly, mostly nature pictures.
* He lives alone in a cabin in the mountains, and is a bit reclusive.
* He doesn't have a girlfriend (and no, I'm not putting porn in his stocking)
* He is very outdoorsy - He likes to go for hikes, camps every chance he gets, etc. (he already owns several tents, sleeping bags, flashlights, lanterns, etc.)
* He loves his grand kids very much and is an amazing grandfather.
I would love to make a fantastic stocking for him, so help me out with some ideas ok?
I'd totally put porn in his stocking, but that's beside the point.
If he's an artist, he probably knows exactly what he wants already. Photographer? Memory sticks/film would probably be appreciated.
Why not have the grandkids make an outdoors coupon book for when they're up there with him to spend extra time with him? Make sure they understand that he can cash it in at any time.
I think if you center on the grandkids/kids/family with this, you'll be good to go.
